New Town Georgian Townhouse, Edinburgh

Jefcoate Anderson Architects Ltd was appointed as architects to assist with the refurbishment of a Georgian townhouse within the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Edinburgh’s New Town.

The A-listed building is one of the few remaining townhouses which has not been subdivided or converted to offices and it was a real privilege to be involved.

Working alongside Hen and Crask Interiors we have restored the property and provided our client with a stunning home which meets the requirements of their young family.

The property features a beautiful, bespoke free standing kitchen by Murray and Murray of Bruntsfield, Edinburgh and bathrooms by Porcelanosa. Within the master bedroom a free standing bath sits framed by a sash and case window overlooking Edinburgh and beyond towards The Firth of Forth and Fife. A classic ‘herringbone’ pattern parquet floor runs throughout the house, creating a cohesive ‘flow’ between rooms.

The project has been featured in several publications.
