Contemporary Stone Extension, Scottish Borders
Located in the heart of a conservation village, this two and half storey extension replaces an existing 1960s flat roofed extension and boiler house.
JAA were required to revisit the existing house layout to provide a more contemporary, open plan kitchen/dining/ lounge on the ground floor, a new guest room, office and shower room.Â
Whilst the form, materials and design reference the traditional character of the house it adjoins, the extension is contemporary in nature, enjoys high levels of insulation, triple glazed windows and provides open views of the garden and village beyond.
Completed on site in 2019.
